Under it's first wave, the Innovation Engine is providing seed funding and technical assistance to seven horticultural innovations.

The Innovation Engine is part of ongoing development efforts to raise agricultural productivity, boost food security and improve livelihoods in Kenya.

The Feed the Future Kenya Innovation Engine identifies, fosters, and brings to scale innovative market-driven solutions to persistent food insecurity, under nutrition and poverty. This "Innovation Engine" seeks to partner people who design new concepts, products and services with investors who can maximize their commercial potential. We support experimentation and reward proven success that represent game-changing approaches for thousands of Kenyan families.

Launched in March 2014, The Innovator e-bulletin is currently in its eleventh issue. The June 2015 issue focuses on Innovations for Seven Billion Dreams in line with the World Environment Day 2015.
